In the chaotic world of DC Comics, the Joker has always been known for his extravagant style and unpredictable character. “The Smiley Car” featured in Suicide Squad undoubtedly represents his style and personality in an iconic way. This car, with its eccentric design, was able to draw the attention of DC fans all around the world since the trailer dropped.

Save nearly 3000/year on your car expenses

The Chronicles of Jokermobile

In simple words, let’s say that the Jokermobile was Joker’s version of “Why should Batman have all the fun?” In comics, as you guys know, the face of the Joker is seen on the front of the car. With time, the car has made several appearances in various comic book storylines.

The Jokermobile made its debut in Batman #37 in October 1946, penned by Jerry Robinson. In this storyline, the Joker devised his own replicas of Batman’s tool to rival the caped crusader. Among them was the Jokermobile, resembling the Batmobile but with distinctive Joker touches. Joker developed his ride in such a way that its functionalities can surpass even the Batmobile. This unique beast comes with machine guns at the front and rear ends. Are you not impressed yet? Wait until you learn this car can create a plank bridge to cross large gaps.

As a DC fan, I guess you know about the kind of work that Joker does for a living. The bulletproof vehicle is something that protects his life every single day.

Even though this car was put out of use after Batman caught him, Joker was seen to be using this car to commit crimes in Metropolis City while he allied with Lex Luther.

Cars Used by Joker in Different Films

Infiniti G35 Vaydor – Suicide Squad (2016)

Joker is one of the most iconic villains in the DC universe, and his vehicle is not just a mode of transportation but an extension of his twisted psyche. The car used by Joker in the Suicide Squad is a custom-built Infiniti G35 Vaydor, which was built specifically for this film.

Vaydor Exotics, headquartered in Florida, was founded by Matt McEntegart. He ingeniously crafted this eye-catching supercar using fiberglass, supplemented with various hardware and accessories and based it on an Infiniti G35 chassis. Matt’s inspiration stemmed from his desire for a supercar without the hefty price tag.

What’s particularly intriguing is that you can purchase the Vaydor kit for $60,000 and transform your G35. Even though Matt describes this amount as cheap, we know that it’s a bit high. However, you’ll undoubtedly turn heads with your sleek and intimidating presence on the road, likely leaving a lasting impression wherever you go.

You are terribly wrong if you think that this is just a movie car. In the real world, this 3.6-liter twin-turbo Vaydor G35 is capable of an output of 500hp, which is pretty impressive. If you are okay with spending a bit extra, Vaydor also offers a big brake upgrade with eight-piston Brembo and some cool Amani wheels in a variety of sizes.

However, just like most of the DC fans out there, I feel like it’s a bit odd that the Joker is driving an Infiniti G35 when he should be tearing up the streets in a custom Lambo or Ferrari.

Cadillac Series 75 – Batman (1989)

In the 1989 Batman film directed by Tim Burton, the Joker, portrayed by Jack Nicholson, drives a customized 1959 Cadillac Series 75. Painted in vibrant purple with green accents, the car perfectly embodies Joker’s flamboyant and eccentric style. Various decorative elements, including playing card motifs and Joker’s signature grin, adorn the vehicle, making it a unique and memorable addition to the Batman cinematic universe.

Dodge 3700 GT -The Joker’s Goon Car – Batman (1989)

Joker’s goons painted the 1978 Dodge 3700 GT sedans in his trademark colors, purple and green, and used them to draw the attention of the audience. Joker’s goons drove custom cars to chase Batman and Vicki Vale as they fled from the Flugelheim Museum.

In real life, the Dodge 3700GT is powered by the famous 3.7-liter 225 slant six engines. You might be asking yourself if the car derived its name from this, and the answer is yes. As 165hp is sent to the rear wheels, this piece of art won’t require constant gear changes.

In “The Lego Batman” movie, the Joker’s car is known as “The Joker Notorious Lowrider.” This vibrant purple and green vehicle is a mix of classic lowrider styling with Joker-themed elements and is entirely different from the Joker’s car in Suicide Squad. It features exaggerated proportions, large wheels, and a design that represents the flamboyant personality of the Joker. In addition to this, it also has handles for Harley Quinn to hang onto.

Conclusion

The Joker is someone with a range of distinctive and memorable vehicles that mirror his unpredictable and flamboyant nature. From the 1959 Cadillac in Batman 1989 to the Joker’s car in Suicide Squad, each car captures the character’s eccentricity and love for chaos. These vehicles are more than just transportation; they reflect the Joker’s unique style and dramatic flair on screen.
